I know not to many stores are offering anyone the opportunity to pre-order any PS3 yet, but I’m sure when the release date gets close some places will take pre-orders. But as far as camping out for the PS3 I’m not sure what to say, I’m sure you will have to show up early in the morning, maybe even days ahead of the crowed. Sony has said they will come out with 2 million units at first and then in 4-6 months they will have another 2 million units available, but they have said this in the past and only delivered half of what they had promised. So you may have to wait a little while before you get your hands on one, but not that long.
only the shops not taking pre-orders will offer camp outs. Most will be pre-order only so just go in, put your name down, pay the deposit if any and your guranteed your PS3.
Rumour is sony will be doing an official pre-order scheme maybe with a £150 deposit to gurantee yours. This stops the kids pre-ordering and then not actually paying on release day.
Register your intrest with amazon, play.com or toys r us and they will let you know when you can pre-order
Oh, and this is for the UK., dont know about the US.
